Welcome to 2022.
With the New Year comes new beginnings.
OK, that’s a big statement.
It’s one many will disagree with. They will believe it is going to be a repeat of 2020 and 2021. The bad times of Covid, the lack of money, lack of freedom, having to wear a mask, can’t travel, stuck in a relationship that’s not working and a job they dislike.
And if they believe they will receive more of that, they will.
Here’s the problem, if you focus on what has happened in your past, you are most likely to repeat it. I see these people in consultation every day. Their past equals their present which, in turn, becomes their future!
Second key point: what you think is what you get.
If you think it is going to be a crappy year, it will be.
One of the biggest problems I see is people only live five minutes ahead of themselves. When asked, “What’s on today?” they respond with “Dunno. I’ll see what pops up.”
This person is going nowhere. They are waiting to see what life delivers.
Good luck with that!
And, as a great quote says: If you are not going somewhere, you are going nowhere!
Anthony Robbins once said that people who do not have a compelling future are prone to feeling depressed.
So, regardless of what your past has looked like, let’s shut the door on the past and create a compelling future. Let’s create a life you would love to live. Let’s get creative.
Get a pen and pad and write down what you would like your ideal life to look like. Start dreaming.
Think it won’t work?
Give it a go. What do you have to lose? What have you got to gain?
I regularly do this in my life with great success. I have thousands of clients who do it. Some have been in terrible relationships and then define their ideal partner and relationship and are now in the relationship of their dreams. Others have been working in a job they hate and then define their ideal job. They are now working in that job … and loving it.
Get clear on how you want 2022 to go.
Just as you plan a holiday to the point of booking accommodation at a specific location, start planning your life to where you want it to go.
You’ve got this.
Let’s make this the best year ever …
