Less than 3 weeks until Christmas. Trust you are prepared.
We have Trey coming home next Sunday from the US and he’s bringing his girlfriend, Erica, with him. It is going to be great to see Trey and meet Erica in person.
At this time of the year, people’s emotions start flowing.
I often hear, “I’ll be happy if I get what I want for Christmas” or “I’ll be happy if I can lose five kilos this month” or “I’ll be happy when I win lotto”.
All three statements indicate, for the person to be happy, a result needs to be achieved. This means the person is not happy now.
Happiness should not be based on a result. Happiness is an attitude.
You should be happy regardless of the result.
To be happy, focus on what is going right in your life, what is happening, how lucky you are to have all your senses, to be able to get around and do things. Focus on how good it is to have people in your life and what your loved ones mean to you.
Enjoy all the things you do, the places you go and the people you meet.
Identify the best in people, places and situations.
See whatever you get for Christmas as being a bonus in your life.
Be happy with the person you are. Your weight does not define you. If you focus on it, you will let it define you.
Be happy with the money you make. If you don’t have enough, you will have a poverty mentality and be forever chasing it. Focus on what you do have in terms of wealth. Thinking “wealth” creates a wealth mindset.
In summary, be a happy person.
You’ve got this.
