Personal and Telephone Consultations

There are a number of things that determine how well you process what is happening in your life, two of which are: (i) the information you are taught and learn, and (ii) the experiences you go through. Each helps shape the way you think.

Therefore, to change your thinking it is important to have the knowledge on how to do so. Once you have the knowledge, if you are still suffering in some way, it may be time to examine your programming.

Positive v's Negative Thinking

With everything you do, there are two sides to doing it - a positive and a negative.

Because you run on energy, your mind weighs up the positives and negatives and gives you a net feeling. For example, you may want to be in a great relationship but, when you were 18 years of age, your partner had an affair and left you for this other person.

Because your mind has no concept of time, this memory is still current with all you learnt from the experience at 18 (like "Don't trust people of the opposite sex"). Your mind now says you have 20 units of positive energy to put into this new relationship (you want to make it work) but the experience of 18 contains 120 units of negative energy (you don't want to give 100% of yourself and then get hurt) so the net becomes 100 units of negative energy. In this example, it is important to turn the negative experience at 18 into a positive one (with positive energy) so the experience works for you. To do this, you can either have a consultation or read one of my many books. In You Have The Power, there is a chapter on how your mind processes information and how to deal with problems so they work for you rather than against you.

Over the past 17 years Clive has developed his own unique way of helping people. He calls it "Common Sense Therapy". Clive empowers you through giving you knowledge and resolving conflict. Through dealing with the cause of a problem, consultations are kept to a minimum and there is a good chance you will receive near instant results.

How Long Should Therapy Take?

This depends on a number of factors:

     How complex the problem is

How quickly the client is prepared to work. Clive can only work at the pace the client is prepared to work. It's important to take care and be thorough.

What the client wants to achieve - some want a quick fix, others want a long-term fix.

After the first consultation, Clive will be able to give you an indication on may sessions will be needed. Many range from from 2 to 4.

What Happens In Therapy?

When you present, Clive knows nothing about you. He needs to know:

     What the problem is

What your Ideal solution is - that is, what you would like to achieve from the sessions

Clive's aim is to give you skills and strategies on how to help yourself so when you go home, you are in a position to be able to help yourself when similar problems arise in the future. Most of what you learn is Common Sense and easy to understand.

When Therapy is not Working

Most clients comment "The solution is so simple and common sense". It is meant to be.

If you return for a second consultation and you have not received a result, Clive looks to see "why".

In most cases there is either (i) a bad experience stopping you from going forward and processing positive information - in other words, you know what you should be doing but there is something stopping you from doing it. A good example of this is weight loss where you know what to eat and you know to exercise but you don't. No matter what you do, you still have the weight problem and this is where another factor like stress can play a major part, or (ii) your thinking is not right. Factors here include you may not want to get better, you're not worthy of getting better, you want someone else to fix the problem, it's all too hard or you don't have the energy to put into it. These need to be addressed before any results will be seen.

If you are getting regular counselling and it is not working, find out "why" and maybe move on and find someone who can help you.

And if you have a choice between emotionally going up or down, you want to be going up.

Make the commitment to help yourself. The more knowledge you have on how to help yourself, the better you feel.

Clive helps transform you so you feel a sense of peace and motivated.
